Candidates will develop their professional skills with ISTE’s Learner; Designer; Citizen; Facilitator; Analyst; Collaborator; and Leader standards through examining the SAMR and TPACK frameworks for technology; the design thinking process; Internet safety and ethical considerations; Computational Thinking; troubleshooting; and experimenting with video and editing techniques; global connections and developing a multimedia presentation.

This course will also focus on the many technology-related elements of British Columbia’s new Applied Design, Skills and Technologies curriculum. Through developing an understanding of the ADST curriculum, and using technology tools to gain input from school staff and students, candidates will create a possible redesign plan for their Library Learning Commons that supports the specific ADST curriculum for the school community.
