Are you ready to take your inclusive teaching practice to the next level? In this course, you’ll dive deeper into the inclusive education, exploring practical, creative, and culturally responsive strategies to support neurodivergent learners in BC classrooms. You’ll learn how to design personalized programs using the universal design for learning (UDL) framework, integrate First Peoples’ Principles of Learning, and apply a wide range of tools and technologies—including assistive, adaptive, and instructional supports—that remove barriers and amplify student strengths.
You’ll explore ways to align student needs with targeted supports, understand the BC Ministry of Education’s funding and designation models, and differentiate between a CB-IEP and a student program. Through real-world examples and collaborative reflection, you’ll gain the confidence to build inclusive environments that nurture communication, self-regulation, executive functioning, and social-emotional well-being.
By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge, strategies, and mindset to create learning spaces where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. Because when inclusion is intentional, everyone benefits.
