Instructors

  • Master's degree and/or Specialist designation in the subject area
  • British Columbia Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate
  • Knowledge of current programs and policies in education in British Columbia
  • Substantial and recent teaching experience in British Columbia
  • Demonstrated leadership in working with teachers and the curriculum in British Columbia

We're looking for instructors to teach the following courses

  • Building Relationships and Developing Leadership
  • First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples
  • Fundamentals of Educational Leadership
  • Strategic Leadership in Educational Organizations
  • Teaching Students with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
  • Using Data to Measure Organizational Success
  • Using Visual Arts to Teach Mathematics

Course Writers

  • Advanced Degree in the course’s subject area is an asset
  • Demonstrated leadership in working with British Columbia teachers and curriculum
  • Extensive and recent teaching experience in British Columbia schools
  • Willingness to collaborate
  • Comfortable in receiving feedback
  • Organizational Skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Awareness of current trends in educational research
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word
  • Familiarity with adult learning in the online learning environment
  • Previous curriculum writing an asset
