British Columbia has recently made significant changes to its assessment practices and policies. These changes have made assessment and evaluation more learner-centred, and educators are now encouraged to learn and grow alongside their students. Have you ever considered how assessment could be a tool for educational equity? In this course you'll learn about assessment as a decolonizing practice, explore your assessment identity, and consider ways to make assessment more student-centred. You'll implement practical assessment tools. You’ll explore proficiency scales, learning progressions, and the revised reporting policy. You'll also explore ways your teaching practice can be enriched in assessment and learning.
