How can educators prepare students to thrive as engaged 21st-century citizens? What are the responsibilities of educators in supporting student learning needs across various modalities of education? What is the role of online teaching and learning in today’s educational landscape?
This course will equip you with pedagogical principles and design approaches to give purpose and direction to effective online teaching and learning. It has been purposefully designed to provide you with an immersive online learning experience and multiple opportunities to explore design principles; practice using technological tools, including Microsoft and Google Workspace apps, Padlet, and FeedbackFruits; and discuss ways to build community, assess online learners, and generate ideas for expanding the efficacy of online learning. At the culmination of the course, you will apply your knowledge to create an online module to support your students’ learning needs in a subject area and grade level of your choosing.
