What is a mathematics leader? What are the qualities of a mathematics leader? Are you one?
Mathematics leader is more than a title bestowed on a position in the school, district or provincial government. A math leader has qualities that allow them to inspire and affect the professional learning of others.
This course will explore issues and topics related to your role as a mathematics leader. As you complete readings, listen to podcasts and watch videos from mathematics leaders, you'll reflect on how these new ideas might impact your personal and professional beliefs and practice. Through collaborative learning, you'll have the chance to communicate your ideas and build capacity as a leader to develop your professional learning network.

Courses and Post-Graduate Certificates are approved by TQS for Category Upgrade. If you would like these courses to be used towards Category Upgrading, you must have a valid BC Teacher Certificate.
ECEs, EAs, and other education professionals are welcome to take the courses without Certification.
*Teaching Experience is not required but it is advised that candidates gain some experience before completing this leadership course. There are many opportunities to gain experience through volunteer work and community based programs.
