What does it mean to have a designer mindset? What strategies can you utilize to build a culture of STEM in the classroom and at your school? How can we help students tackle modern problems that require an interdisciplinary approach?
STEM education requires educators to create opportunities for students to see the connections between Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Design thinking leads to the development of a design mindset that supports students in seeing STEM concepts working together to tackle local, provincial and global challenges.
In this course, you will have opportunities to collaborate with course colleagues to discuss and create meaningful learning experiences for senior level students through a STEM lens that incorporates modern technologies and Indigenous worldviews and perspectives.
