Course Description

Educational leadership in today’s environment requires individuals with a strong vision and clear direction. Strategic leaders embody these characteristics. Leadership exists in many aspects of our society, and the demand for strategic leaders is crucial for any educational organization. This course will help you gain the skills needed to become a strategic leader—a leader with communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to anticipate challenges. 

This course is designed for educators who wish to develop their own leadership principles as they progress toward a career in educational administration or management in their organization.

In this course you’ll have to opportunity to

• gain skills to take your leadership abilities to the next level
• develop inquiry-based skills to develop your leadership ability
• use your own context to create a leadership pathway
• use job-embedded skills to discover the strength of strategic leadership
• analyze case studies to formulate solutions based on a leadership plan
• use aspects of HR in applying principles of strategic leadership

Application Requirements

Courses and Post-Graduate Certificates are approved by TQS for Category Upgrade. If you would like these courses to be used towards Category Upgrading, you must have a valid BC Teacher Certificate.

ECEs, EAs, and other education professionals are welcome to take the courses without Certification.

Refund Schedule

If you drop a course:

1. by the midpoint of the course, you will receive 100% of your course fee.
2. after the midpoint, before the end of the course, you will receive 50% of your course fee.
