This course explores the importance of social and emotional learning, teaching strategies, program planning, and positive approaches for mental health and wellness. This course focuses on social and emotional learning delivery methods, school-wide programs, and community projects. The significance of designing spaces for calming and the importance of eco-therapy are also explored. Teachers have an opportunity to examine their own emotional intelligence, practice mindfulness, and acquire recipes for self-regulation tools.
Courses and Post-Graduate Certificates are approved by TQS for Category Upgrade. If you would like these courses to be used towards Category Upgrading, you must have a valid BC Teacher Certificate.
ECEs, EAs, and other education professionals are welcome to take the courses without Certification.
