Course Description
French as a Second Language Part 1 vise à aider les éducatrices et les éducateurs à mieux comprendre la vision et les objectifs des différents programmes d'études de FLS de l'Ontario. Dans ce cours, vous explorerez comment créer des cours de FLS interactifs qui sont inclusifs et engageants et qui aideront les élèves à avoir plus de confiance en locution et en communication.
Objectifs d’apprentissage du cours
Après avoir suivi le cours French as a Second Language Part 1, vous serez en mesure de
- développer une vision de l'apprentissage de la langue française et prendre l’action pour réaliser cette vision
- examiner les sept compréhensions durables et comprendre comment elles sous-tendent toutes les attentes des programmes de FLS en Ontario
- acquérir une compréhension de base des principes du Cadre européen commun de référence (CECR) et de la manière dont ils ont été utilisés pour informer le programme de FLS
- développer une compréhension de la pédagogie adaptée à la culture et qui reflète les identités des élèves
- utiliser des stratégies d'apprentissage qui soutiennent l’enseignement des compétences en compréhension auditive et en communication orale, et la progression de l'acquisition de L2
- éfinir une tâche actionnelle et authentique selon le niveau scolaire et les expériences vécues des élèves.
- appliquer les étapes de planification, d’évaluation, d’enseignement différencié, d’adaptation et de modification
- entreprendre une enquête à propos du rôle d’enseignante ou d’enseignant en tant que soutien de l’engagement des élèves, des familles et de la communauté pour promouvoir l’apprentissage du français langue seconde, tout le long du cadre scolaire de la 1re à la 12e année dans les programmes de français cadre, intensif et d’immersion
La langue d'enseignement pour cette qualification est le français. Tous les travaux écrits et toutes les présentations seront effectués en français.
Application Requirements
- OCT MEMBERSHIP We will use the OCT number you provide during online registration to confirm OCT Membership with qualifications in Primary, Junior, Intermediate or Senior. If you have a Diploma of Education, you are not eligible for this course.
- YOUR UNDERGRADUATE UNIVERSITY TRANSCRIPT(S)
Your transcript(s) must show the equivalent of 5.0 full-year undergraduate courses in French or the completion of a degree in the French language.
or
A French Bilingual/Immersion/Extended Certificate and original transcript from an anglophone secondary school or an original transcript if you have graduated from a francophone secondary school. We will also accept test scores determined to be suitable by the Department of Continuing Teacher Education.
or
A DELF assessment (done with a provider of your choosing) with a result of B2 or higher.
**If you have completed your B.Ed or an Honour Specialist or an Intermediate or Senior ABQ course at Queen's within the last 4 years you are not required to resend your transcripts.
