<p class="MsoNormal">New and experienced math teachers will have an opportunity to take their math teaching to a new level with a course focused on building the tools required to teach math at the Senior level. You will focus on innovative teaching practices, the intricate relationships between student voice and equity and inclusion practices, implementation of technology, and assessment and evaluation principles that are rooted in student success and building thinking classrooms and mathematical literacy. The course will give you frequent opportunities to connect with fellow educators and reflect on the challenges and exciting opportunities that teaching Senior Math bring.</p>
1) OCT MEMBERSHIP We will use the OCT number you provide during online registration to confirm you are an OCT member with an undergraduate degree. 2) YOUR ORIGINAL UNDERGRADUATE/GRADUATE UNIVERSITY TRANSCRIPT(S)* Your transcript(s) must show: The equivalent of 3.0 full-year undergraduate/graduate courses in Mathematics or the equivalent of 2.0 full-year undergraduate/graduate courses if you already hold another senior qualification. At least half of the required courses MUST be from a Mathematics department in areas such as Calculus, Algebra, Differential Equations, etc. The remaining required courses can be related to Mathematics such as; Statistics, Physics (Dynamics, Heat Transfer), Analytical Chemistry, etc. If you have completed an undergrad (at any time with Queen's), or a B.Ed., Honour Specialist, or an Intermediate or Senior ABQ course within the last 4 years with us you are not required to resend your transcripts.
