This course will challenge you to think about your teaching practice and your love of the outdoors and to link your passion to the possibilities of experiential outdoor education. You’ll look at the philosophy of outdoor education and at the analysis and implementation of Ontario curriculum documents and publications and school board policies related to experiential outdoor education. You’ll explore concepts, skills and practices that are essential to outdoor education, develop lessons and units to engage students, and share ideas with your classmates as you build a bank of resources to use in your life as a teacher.
We will use the OCT number you provide during online registration to confirm that you are an OCT member.
